The Partnership for a New American Economy brings together a bipartisan group of mayors from across the country and business leaders from all sectors of the economy and all 50 states to raise awareness of the economic benefits of sensible immigration reform.
The Task Force exists to deepen public understanding of immigration and its importance to the region’s economic future by informing Midwestern leadership about the issues. Through dialogue and outreach, its members are working to forge consensus around sensible immigration policy at the state and national levels. The Task Force’s final report articulates the Midwest’s stake in immigration and outlines what the region needs fixed for it to remain economically competitive.
ICIRR is dedicated to promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life of our diverse society. In partnership with our member organizations, the Coalition educates and organizes immigrant and refugee communities to assert their rights; promotes citizenship and civic participation; monitors, analyzes, and advocates on immigrant-related issues; and, informs the general public about the contributions of immigrants and refugees.
